3 Day Detox Diet at Full Moon
3 day detox diet is a procedure through which the body cleanses itself from toxins, accumulated as a result of pollution, preservatives in the food we consume, etc. When performed systematically, detoxification improves metabolism, facilitating the absorption of nutrients by the body.
Detoxification of the organism at full moon
Start 2 days before full moon, allowing your body to release toxins from the tissues and direct them to the blood stream. At the day of full moon, powerful tidal wave cleanses them. It is easier to abstain from eating before full moon and the attained results are long lasting. Even if you don’t eat at full moon only, you will lose 1-3 kg, but a 3 day detox diet has a much better effect.
Different approaches to a 3 day detox diet
Detoxification with fresh juices
Drink 10-12 grams of English salt (one tablespoon), dissolved in 50-70 grams of water before breakfast. English salt absorbs toxins and releases them in the intestines. Half an hour later start drinking fresh juice from 2-3 lemons, 4-6 grapefruits, and 4-6 oranges or a total of 2 liters. Dilute the juice with 1.5-2 liters of mineral water. Do not consume other food. If hungry, eat 1 apple or 1 orange at dinner. The organic acids in fruits facilitate the cleansing process while fruit sugar improves the functioning of the liver, prevents hypoglycemia, and energizes the body. Follow the diet for 3 consecutive days and increase the amount of food on the fourth. Instead of citrus fruit, use apples to prepare the juice. If the feeling of hunger is really strong, drink mineral water with lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey. You can also mix 1-2 teaspoons of pectin with half a teaspoon of honey. Add some water and mix well. Pectin swells up in the intestines, makes you feel satiated, and speeds up the process of cleaning.
4th day
- Breakfast: 2-3 kiwis, 1-2 apples, or 1-2 oranges. Poor warm water (50 – 60 C) over 2-3 tablespoons of oat kernels with raisins around 10 am. They are ready for consumption in 15-30 minutes.
- Lunch (higher amount of carbohydrates): You can have potato sauté, potato salad with onion, boiled rice, steamed vegetables, cabbage and carrot salad.
- Dinner (higher amount of proteins) – Have salad with cheese or custard, crushed garlic with vegetable oil, potatoes, and rice. Do not consume meat.
Start eating as usual on the fifth day.
Detoxification with Ghee
Buy ghee from a healthy food store. Alternatively, take butter, boil it, and throw away the foam that forms on the surface.
- First day: 30 grams of ghee (2 soupspoons)
- Second day: 60 grams of ghee (4 tablespoons)
- Third day: 90 grams of ghee (6 tablespoons)
Start drinking warm mineral water (around 70 C) or tea between 30 and 40 minutes after consuming ghee. Have 2 liters of water a day.
At lunch and dinner have 1 coffee cup of rice boiled in 1 liter of water (add no salt or oil, just some dill and parsley). If you have headache, nausea, or weakness, you can drink water with lemon and honey or pectin. If you feel really weak, stop the detoxification process and repeat at the next full moon.
Repeat the detoxification procedure at the next full moon.
4th day
Take 1-2 soupspoons of castor oil and 2 cups of tea. Consume fruits in 1-2 hours. Have light vegetable menu at breakfast and dinner.
If you have gall bladder inflammation or gall-stones, do not opt for this detoxification method.
3 day detox diet with grapefruits
Needed products for 1 day:
- 5 grapefruits, preferably rose-colored
- 5 eggs
Peel the grapefruits and remove skin. Boil eggs for 15 minutes and separate the white.
Before breakfast, drink 10 grams of English salt in 50-70 ml of water. You can have breakfast in half an hour. One hour after waking up, consume one white. An hour afterwards have one grapefruit. Alternate grapefruits and whites. You’ll have 10 portions for the day.
If feeling hungry, drink warm water – the more, the better.
If feeling weak, have warm water with lemon juice.
It is recommended to consume the last portion before 8 pm.
3 day detox diet for the summer months
This detox does not include citrus fruits – if you’ve noticed, during this time of the year, citrus fruits are drier and not suitable for juices. Consume up to 1 kg of cherries or up to 2 kg of strawberries in portions during the day.
Have 10-15 grams of English salt (1 soupspoon), dissolved in 50-70 ml of water. One hour later, start drinking water or tea. Repeat the procedure over 3 consecutive days and on the 4th day, have the same menu as with the fresh juices’ detoxification. This detox is quite light and pleasant. With melons and watermelons, you can consume unlimited amounts.
During detoxification, you can have coffee (which is an antidote for many toxins) and tea – herbal tea, green, black, mate (regulates metabolism and has an antioxidant effect if suffering from hemorrhoids or varicose veins, suppresses the appetite, and energizes the body).
Losing weight after detoxification
- It is a good idea to have a fruit-and-rice day once a week. Distribute 1 kg of fruits (apples, kiwi, grapefruits, and oranges) in 5 portions. Limit food to 50 grams of rice boiled in 1 liter of water (just like a soup). You can add parsley and dill. Drink at least 2 liters of water or tea. Don’t have dinner after 7 pm.
- If you want to lose weight, have only 1 grapefruit at breakfast and one more during the day. Consume 30 minutes before or after meals.
- Drink between 2.5 and 3 liters of warm water or tea a day.
- Have 1-2 grams of vitamin C a day.
- Combine foods properly: you can combine carbohydrates and proteins (e.g. potatoes and meat), but have salad with them. To a degree, it eliminates the effect of the poor combination.
- Follow the natural cycle of your body:
- consume only fruits and fruit juices before lunch because they have a stronger cleansing effect over the organism then. This food type helps the detoxification process.
- Eat meals between 12 pm and 8 pm to supply energy to the body
- Absorption of food takes place between 8 pm and 4 am, and eating is not recommended.
- Have at least half a kilogram of fresh fruits and vegetables a day.
- After a 3 day detox diet, you can prepare and consume apple vinegar.
Recipe:
1 kg of apples (mashed), 200 grams of honey or sugar + 20 grams of yeast and 25-30 grams of dried brown or rye bread. Leave to ferment and strain. Add 200 grams of honey or sugar to 1 liter. Strain and pour into clean bottles.
Drink 1-2 teaspoons of vinegar and 1-2 teaspoons of honey and water a couple of times during the day. Add to salads, soups, etc.
